Registration for Summer Speech is now open.

Join us for some summer fun and learning! We have expanded our options for this summer so there is something for everyone. With special pricing, summer is the perfect time to give private speech therapy a try. Programs may be covered by your insurance plan including all Ohio Medicaid programs. Early registration is encouraged to help us plan enough availability and to group students appropriately. Payment is due by May 31, 2019 to retain your scheduled session time. Individual Speech Therapy - Lancaster & Worthington Offices

Ages 2 – 21 years
Starting week of June 11, 2018

This summer, do you want your child to continue to build on the speech and language skills they worked hard to master during the school year?  Individual speech therapy in our summer program can help. Your child’s eight-week program will be conducted by a licensed speech-language pathologist and is designed to develop speech intelligibility, receptive language, expressive language or social communication. Your child will be treated, individually, for 30 minutes on a weekly basis. New goals can be established and/or current IEP goals can be utilized. Fun, summer-themed games and activities are tailored to improve communication, resulting in a successful return to the classroom this fall. 

Little Explorers Speech, Language and Social Skills Groups - Lancaster and Worthington Offices

Ages 3-10 years
Starting week of June 10, 2019
50 minutes sessions, weekly for 8 weeks

The Little Explorers Speech, Language and Social Skills Group is for preschool and younger school age students. Fun activities with a theme of exploring and discussing various environments related to nature will be presented. Children will be grouped based on their age speech goals. Articulation carryover groups and language development groups will both receive additional instruction in social skills. Groups will be developed on Tuesdays in Worthington and Mondays and Wednesdays in Lancaster based on demand.

Workplace Communication Group - Lancaster and Worthington Offices

Ages 12 – 21 years
Starting week of June 10, 2019
50 minutes sessions, weekly for 8 weeks

The Workplace Communication Group is for middle school students, high school students and young adults who are preparing for the workforce. Activities will focus on preparing participants to communicate during an interview and in various workplace settings. Emotional regulation, problem solving and organizational skills will also be addressed. Students who utilize AAC devices are welcome to enroll in this group. If AAC programming needs to be developed for workplace communication, students should also enroll in individual therapy sessions. Assessment of current skill level is required prior to group assignment. Groups will be developed on Thursdays in Worthington based on demand.

  • Mondays 9:30 -10:30 in Lancaster (beginner to intermediate, for those preparing for work)

  • Mondays 11:00 - 12:00 in Lancaster (beginner to intermediate, for those preparing for work)

  • Mondays 1:00 - 2:00 in Lancaster (advanced for those ready to interview and begin work with support)

Social Group Speech Therapy - Worthington Office

Ages 8 – 21 years
Starting week of June 10, 2019
50 minutes sessions, weekly for 8 weeks

New this summer! Based on requests from many of our families we are expanding our summer offerings to include social group therapy.  Group members will meet weekly with their peers and the group will be facilitated by a certified speech-language pathologist.  Developmentally appropriate lessons in pragmatic language skills will be presented and followed by fun activities which allow group members to practice their new skills. Groups will be developed on Thursdays based on demand.
